This book is very symbolic and it is James W. O’Flannery’s first history book. It is very fitting, that James’ first history book is about Martin Luther, William Tyndale, James Ussher, and their Work in Classics for many reasons. It symbolizes hope in the midst of turmoil, unrest, and “plague.” It is no secret, that America is divided under our Greatest President in American History, Donald J. Trump, George Soros’ rioters are destroying historic American landmarks like St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington D.C. and looting several stores, and the Corona Virus aka COVID-19 has turned the world upside down. It is important, that James published this book about Martin Luther, William Tyndale, James Ussher, and their Work in Classics now at this time in American History, because it glorifies Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, it celebrates the greatness of Lutheranism, it celebrates the contributions to the Field of Classics, which Luther, Tyndale, and Ussher made, and it takes our minds off of the Corona Virus. During the American Civil War, some of the members of James’ church-body, The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), under the leadership of Reverend C.F.W. Walther, their parish pastor and the First President of The LCMS, spent $117,000 to build Historic Trinity Lutheran Church (LCMS) in St. Louis, Missouri in 1864. Those early LCMS Lutherans were not afraid to glorify Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit during the Civil War and James W. O’Flannery is not afraid to glorify Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit during the Corona Virus, so they built their church building and James published this book. James will discuss the Bubonic Plague, the Corona Virus, the American Civil War, and Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in future books, but, what is important for this book, is, that he discusses the lives, ministries, and work in Classics of Luther, Tyndale, and Ussher.
