Oktoberfest and Marriage

Happy Octoberfest, Happy Reformation Day, and Autumn Greetings! Oktoberfest and Marriage Reflections: Oktoberfest is my third favorite holiday and marriage is something, which I long for. Oktoberfest is a holiday, a season, and a festival all rolled into one. Oktoberfest is not only about drinking beer, but it is also about celebrating German Heritage and celebrating the marriage of King Ludwig I of Bavaria and Princess Theresa of Saxony. King Ludwig I was a Roman Catholic and Princess Theresa of Saxony was a Lutheran. They were married on October 12, 1810 in Munich, Germany. Granted Bavaria and Saxony were separate and independent countries back then like most of the German States, since unification did not take place until 1871. Sadly, King...

October 2021 Events at Immanuel Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Lima, Ohio

Happy Reformation Day! Since I decided to only have this website and shutdown ohiobookmart.com, I decided to make ads for Immanuel Lutheran Church (LCMS), where I'm an active member, as blog posts. Once you've read this blog post, please feel free to read the other blog posts and to visit the other pages. About: Immanuel Lutheran Church (LCMS) is a conservative and Confessional Lutheran congregation in The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday and for most major holy days. Autumn Greetings and Happy Oktoberfest! Vaughnsville Reflections and What is Essential?: I'm doing these reflections, because I was so busy with grad school from first Monday in February 2021 to Sunday September 26, 2021 and I was unable to do my normal blogging, which I love to do. We are getting close the end of the Oktoberfest Season, which is my Third Favorite Holiday, and the Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show is one month away on Saturday October 30, 2021 from 11 AM to 5 PM in beautiful Downtown Vaughnsville, Ohio at the Vaughnsville Community Center. This will be our...

Vendor List 1 for the 2021 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show

Autumn Greetings and Happy Michaelmas aka St. Michael the Archangel Day! Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show Reflections: I will make this as brief as possible. Jesus died and resurrected for you for the forgiveness of all of your sins! Glory to Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit! We will have a Bible Reading in a little bit and, with grad school winding down for a while, I plan on doing a lot more blogging in the near future like old times. I have a lot of great ideas for blog posts and I want to look at more theology over the next several weeks starting next week and moving forward into Christmas, since I'll be done with my Thesis Proposal...

The 17th Anniversary of my Holy Baptism and my Masters Thesis Proposal

Happy Pentecost and Late Autumn Greetings! Holy Baptism Reflections: The following text is my Preliminary Thesis Proposal for my masters thesis at American Military University: Preliminary Thesis Proposal           The Lutheran understanding of Holy Baptism is the most Biblical interpretation of the Doctrine of Holy Baptism and it is the most historically accurate interpretation of it in accordance with the understanding of this Doctrine shared by Jesus, His Holy Apostles, and the Church Fathers like St. Ambrose of Milan, St. Augustine of Hippo, St. Patrick of Ireland, and others. Sadly, Holy Baptism has divided Christianity since the Reformation due to the Anabaptists not accepting Jesus, the Holy Apostles, and the Church Fathers at their collective word on this critically important...
