Happy Autumn and Oktoberfest!
Autumn 2020 Reflections: Autumn 2020 is shaping up to be a busy and active time of year, even if it is not the way in which we had envisioned it. I participated in several craft and vendor shows last year in 2019: Waynesfield-Goshen Winterfest, Waynesfield Lions Club Festival, the Ottoville Craft Show, the St. Marys Holiday Art Bizarre, and the Bluffton Holiday Showcase. This year both of the Waynesfield festivities were postponed until next year and both the St. Marys Holiday Art Bizarre and the Bluffton Holiday Showcase might suffer the same fate sadly. However, I believe, that Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are going to protect the 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show for several reasons.
Why do I feel confident, that Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are going to protect the 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show? I have five reasons: 1. The 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor is a religious event being an Ohio Irish Lutheran Press event and both President Donald Trump's executive order from earlier this year proclaim, that religion to be an essential part of American life, and the Founding Fathers believed, that religion is one of the most important aspects of being an American. 2. The Rustic Farmhouse Market was held the last weekend in August 2020 at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds and there like 80 vendors according to Rowdy Ron on T-102, which is Lima, Ohio's biggest Country Music station, and there was NO Corona Virus outbreak! 3. Max's Trader Days were held at the Allen County Fairgrounds Labor Day Weekend and it was Trump "YUGE!!!" 3. I have nine vendors including myself signed up for the Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show, but I'm still seeking some more vendors. 4. I mandated, that everyone, who comes to the 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show and who is able to wear a face mask and/or other facial covering, must wear them, unless they have a medical condition, which prevents them from wearing a face mask or other facial covering. 5. I'm going to provide hand sanitizer and hand washing wipes for people to use at the 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show.
I want to address both the religious aspects of the 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show and the amount of vendors I have setting up at the show. My pastor, Reverend Michael Phillips, is not going to be running around the Vaughnsville Community Center during the Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show beating people over the head with The Holy Bible and/or The Book of Concord, which is basically a long Bible Study in hardback book form. I honestly wish, that every single person on the planet was a Confessional Lutheran like me and my pastor or at least a Baptized Child of God in any Christian tradition, but I cannot force anyone to experience the waters of Holy Baptism or to believe, that Jesus died to save every single person for the forgiveness of sins, or to confess the Holy Trinity, Who are Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, to be the One True God. Nor would I want to even to try. I do not even know the religious beliefs of most of the vendors, except for my cousin Jordan Coulter the main food vendor, who is a practicing Jew, and my grandma Rozella Smith, who is a Christian Union-er, which means, she's in an old fashioned Methodist-style church body.
Even though there are only nine vendors setting up at the 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show, there will be several tables full of awesome merchandise. I'm bringing my new books, which I've written and published, some ceramic Angels, face masks, and maybe some other really nice stuff. Both my grandma Rozella Smith and I are bringing several nice pre-owned books along with several other nice treasures. Grandma and I together will have three to four tables just for our merchandise. Grandma will also sell water, cookies, and candy bars. Jordan Coulter of the Northland Chief Supermarket in Lima, Ohio and his buddy Don are bringing Boots BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Bone-In Chicken Wings and my mouth is starting to water just thinking about the food. Jordan will bring soda pop as well to Vaughnsville. Jordan brings Boots BBQ Beef Brisket to our family's annual Christmas party every year and most years our family eats so much beef brisket, that he has absolutely none to take home for later. Sara Fisher from Columbus Grove, Ohio is a Color Street Stylist and women love Color Street products. My friend Emily Poynter from Cincinnati, Ohio is bringing several nice handcrafted Fall and Christmas Decorations, she has done for me, which is stunning, and she will have two tables. Ruby and Matthew Spitnale of Harrod, Ohio are bringing handcrafted jewelry and wooden craft items and they'll have two tables. My friend Yvette Stump of Spencerville, Ohio is bringing both thrift items and her awesome craft items, which fly off of her bookcases at Jen's Furniture and Collectibles (JFC) in St. Marys, Ohio, where she and I are both vendors. My friend Josh Hoskins' wife Samantha Hoskins of Columbus Grove, Ohio is bringing handcrafted wooden Halloween, Fall, and Christmas Decorations.
Yes, all of us vendors will be socially distanced, if we don't live in the same house. My tables and my grandma's tables will be sitting side-by-side, since we live together. Emily's two tables will be sitting side-by-side. The Spitnales' tables will be sitting side-by-side as well. I might be able to fit all of the vendors in the gym of the Vaughnsville Community Center, except for Jordan and Don, because they'll be set-up in the cafeteria's kitchen. I don't know yet, but, since I cannot pack the Vaughnsville Community Center with several vendors, as I originally wanted thanks to the Corona Virus, I might be able to have socially distanced in-person dining for people to sit down and enjoy the food at tables. I think, both had of these things can be easilly pulled off; both socially distancing vendors and socially distance in-person dining. The restaurants like China Buffet, Cracker Barrel, and Arby's can do socially distanced in-person dining very well and I think, we can do the same thing at the 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show, if we have the space, and I think, we will. I'll have to wait and see, if we will have enough room for socially distanced in-person dining. Plus, there is absolutely NO social distancing at Walmart and they never had to shut down during the economic shutdown to flatten the Corona Virus curve. Granted I still want more vendors, if I can get them for this year's Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show. I have some more people interested, so, if I get more vendors, then I'll make a new vendor list in the near future. Regardless there will be a lot of great merchandise available to buy and good food and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy.
I have a new book coming out sometime during the 2020 Christmas Shopping Season. This book will be my sixth book and it will be called Martin Luther, William Tyndale, James Ussher, and their Work in Classics: With Other Christian Essays. This book will be a history about Martin Luther, William Tyndale, James Ussher, their lives, their ministries, and their contributions to the field of Classics among other topics. Hopefully I'll have this book printed and available at the 2020 Vaughnsville Craft and Vendor Show.
Let us read Psalm 37:1-20:
"37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. 6 And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself, because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. 13 The LORD shall laugh at him: for He seeth, that his day is coming. 14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. 15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. 16 A little, that a righteous man hath, is better than the riches of many wicked. 17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. 18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. 19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. 20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away" (KJV 1611).

My Green Irish Angel Statues: My Green Irish Angel Statues are really cute! They are only $1 each and they make great gifts. I have three kinds: 1. Cross-Bearing Angels, 2. Praying Angels, and 3. Angels Holding Butterflies. I like the Cross-Bearing Angels the best, because they are carrying Crosses. Each one bearing a Cross reminds us, that Jesus died on the True Cross to save every single person from death, Hell, Satan, Satan's Demons, Original Sin from Adam and Eve, and their personal sins. They're available exclusively at Jen's Furniture and Collectibles (JFC) on the corner High Street and Chestnut Street in between Circle K Gas Station and Zion Lutheran Church (NALC) in St. Marys, Ohio.
Stores Carrying My Books: My books, which I’ve written and published, are also available at the following stores: Brunner News Agency on Flanders Avenue in Lima, Ohio, Jen’s Furniture and Collectibles (JFC) on High Street in St. Marys, Ohio, The Menagerie at 1178 Indiana Avenue behind Beer Barrel in the St. Marys Business Complex in St. Marys, Ohio, Readmore Hallmark Stores out at Eastgate Plaza and on Elm Street in Lima, Ohio, Wagner’s IGA Grocery Store in Minster, Ohio, and in the Shop section of my website ohioirishlutheranpress.com .
