The Rising of The Moon Book 2: Faith, Hope, and Love

Happy Christmas!

Book Reflections: Finally my fifth book The Rising of The Moon Book 2: Faith, Hope, and Love is out! The Rising of The Moon Book 2: Faith, Hope, and Love is the awesome sequel to The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 1 and The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 2. All three of these of books can found at all of the stores, where I sell books: Brunner News Agency on Flanders Avenue in Lima, Ohio, Jen's Furniture and Collectibles (JFC) on High Street in between Circle K Gas Station and Zion Lutheran Church (NALC) in St. Marys, Ohio, Lima Readmore Stores on Elm Street and out at Eastgate Plaza, The Menagerie in the St. Marys Business Complex at 1178 Indiana Avenue in St. Marys, Ohio, on the Wagner's Magazine Wall (formerly the Famous Wagner's Book Wall) in between the Wagner's Cafe and the check-out lines in Wagner's IGA Grocery Store in Minster, Ohio, the Shop section of this website, and the Book Mart section of ohiobookmart.com .

Now let's get into the book itself without me telling you everything about the book. I cover several different themes in The Rising of The Moon Book 2: Faith, Hope, and Love like the Virgin Birth of Jesus the Messiah, Christmas in its various and beautiful forms, Faith, Hope, and Love, and romance. Let's explore these themes.

Sadly many people in our modern times have become too secular and they deny the Truth about our Holy Triune God, because they are trapped in the heresy of "science-ism,"  as his Grace Bishop Robert Barron has coined it. "Science-ism" says, that there is no God, there is no Virgin Birth of Jesus, and there is nothing spiritual about this life. "Get out of life, everything you can, because there is nothing, but the here-and-now!" People trapped in the "science-ism" heresy are spiritually dead and they are blinded by Satan. The previous quote proves this.

The Virgin Birth of Jesus is an undeniable, historical fact, because The Holy Bible says so. The Jewish historian called Josephus and the Roman Pagan historian called Tacitus both acknowledged the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and sadly they were happy, that Pontius Pilate was basically forced to execute Jesus like a common criminal, because Josephus and Tacitus did not like Jesus the Messiah. Josephus and Tacitus thought, Jesus was a troublemaker and He deserved to die. Jesus literally rose from the dead on Easter morning and this fact is not only recorded in The Holy Bible, but several eyewitnesses saw Jesus after His Resurrection from the dead. If God the Father can resurrect His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, from the dead, then is there any reasonable doubt, that He could have Baby Jesus placed into the Virgin Mary's womb by God the Holy Spirit? Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are equally God and They can do anything, but sin. Jesus needed to have a special type of Birth, since He is God the Son, the Son of God, the Lamb of God, the Jewish Messiah, and the Savior of the World.

Christmas! What is it to Richard McMurphy? What is it to Richard's best friend and girlfriend Emily McMermaid? What is to you? Christmas is many different things and this is good and holy. Christmas is a day to gather with family and friends both at home and even more importantly at church. Christmas is love; God's Love! Christmas is Grace; God's Grace! Christmas is Mercy; God's Mercy! Christmas is magical, not magical in the sense of witchcraft, but it truly is magical in the sense of the innocence of children sitting on Santa's lap. Children have no power to get anything on their own. Santa, mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, their teachers, and other trusted adults have to give them gifts, because they have no power of their own to get those gifts themselves. As Christians, we are both sinners and saints, because we are born with Original Sin from both Adam and Eve and we cannot get Grace and Mercy on our own, rather we must receive them purely as Gifts from Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. They chose to give us these Gifts of Grace and Mercy in Holy Baptism, Holy Communion, the Holy Scriptures, and sacred music. Just to clarify, I am NOT saying, that children are without sin. I am merely saying, that they have not committed really large sins and they do not know the struggles of life, as we adults do. At least I hope, they are innocent in these ways.

Please read 1 Corinthians 13 first in your copy of The Holy Bible and then in the front of The Rising of The Moon Book 2: Faith, Hope, and Love. Faith! Martin Luther rediscovered this amazing truth in Romans 1:17, where St. Paul wrote, "For therein is the Righteousness of God revealed from Faith to Faith: as it is written, 'The just shall live by Faith'" (KJV 1611). If we are to be "the just," then we naturally shall live by Faith in our Baptismal Lives. Our greatest Hope is found in Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Without Them, we are lost and doomed to burn in Hell and to be tormented by Satan and his demons. Now love has several different meanings and Greek has five different words for love. For now let us focus of the Divine Love, Which was shown to us on Mount Calvary and Which is freely given to us in the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. No other god or even any goddess gives the forgiveness of sins. Only Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit give the forgiveness of sins and They give the forgiveness of sins in Holy Baptism, in Holy Communion, and in Confession and Absolution. The Divine Love of the Holy Trinity is the greatest Love, because Jesus died for you, Yahweh adopts you as His child in the waters of Holy Baptism, the Holy Spirit goes inside of you during water Baptism, Jesus goes inside of you during Holy Communion, since He is literally present in the Bread and Wine, and your sins are forgiven in Confession and Absolution along with Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, and the Holy Spirit goes inside of you during water Baptism. Some Lutherans even argue, that Confession and Absolution together are also a Sacrament.

Another type of love is romance. Richard McMurphy and his best friend Emily McMermaid make such a cute couple and they are madly in love. The Rising of The Moon Trilogy is NOT a series of dirty romance novels, rather the books in this series celebrates virginity, not only that of the Virgin Mary, but also the virginity of Richard and Emily and many of the other characters like Richard's twin sister Victoria McMurphy and his best friend Max Bailey. Richard's crazy ex-girlfriend Reggiena Fisch gets the crazy idea in her head, that Richard and her new boyfriend Stanley von Mainz, whom she cheated on Richard with, should share both Emily and herself and that Emily and she should share both Richard and Stanley. This idea is ludicrous. Reggiena proposes a "love square" or a "love diamond." However, this will not work, because Richard is a chubby chaser and Stanley is a skinny chaser. Richard does not want to go back to dating a skinny girl like Reggiena and Stanley does not want to date a fat girl like Emily. Emily is also an actually mermaid.

Since I'm a big history buff, I had to bring in some history. Did you know, that Good King Wenceslas is not only an awesome Christmas Carol sung and played by one of my favorite bands, The Irish Rovers, but the character in the song was actually based based on a real Christian ruler? Did you know, that there were several Christian Saints with the name of Valentine? Did you know, that St. Patrick wasn't actually an Irishman, even though he was the first Christian Bishop of Ireland? Learn about these awesome Christian leaders of the past in my latest Christian romance novel The Rising of the Moon Book 2: Faith, Hope, and Love.

Emily's latest dream is historical fiction. In The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 1, Emily dreamed about being Richard's wife and they were a noble lord and a noble lady from Ireland, who went off on the Third Crusade with King Richard the Lionheart of England. Both in real-life and in Emily's dream in Moon Book 1 Part 1, King Richard the Lionheart is unable to retake the Holy City of Jerusalem, because his bratty baby brother, Prince John, was oppressing the English people. Emily and Richard and their Irish Crusaders were able to take back Jerusalem from the Muslims in Emily's dream in Moon Book 1 Part 1. As King Richard the Green of Jerusalem and Queen Emily of Jerusalem, Richard McMurphy and Emily McMermaid are husband and wife and Emily dreams about their reign over the Holy City of Jerusalem in Moon Book 2.

The Covers: I used basically the same basic design for the covers with some modifications with the texts on the front and back covers and spines for The Rising of Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 1The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 2, and The Rising of The Moon Book 2: Faith, Hope, and Love for two reasons. 1. I wanted to save money on the cover designs, so I recycled the basic look of first book in this series. 2. One of my favorite Lutheran pastors, whom I like to like to watch on YouTube, the Reverend Doctor Jordan Cooper, complained about a series of theology books by Martin Chemnitz on his bookshelf, because the publisher decided to change the cover designs. Reverend Cooper is sad, because the books don't match. Reverend Cooper inspired the uniformity of the covers for my Christian romance novels The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part, The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 2, and The Rising of The Moon Book 2: Faith, Hope, and Love. The Reverend Doctor Jordan Cooper is a pastor in The American Association of Lutheran Churches (AALC) and this church body is the sister of my church body, The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). The AALC and The LCMS theologically are basically the same church body, but these two church bodies have their own unique histories and having full pulpit and altar fellowship is good enough for The AALC and The LCMS.

Let us read Psalm 96:

"1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Sing unto the LORD, bless His Name; shew forth His Salvation from day to day. Declare His Glory among the Heathen, His Wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before Him: strength and beauty are in His Sanctuary. Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD Glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the Glory due unto His Name: bring an offering, and come into His Courts. O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him, all the earth. 10 Say among the Heathen, that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established, that it shall not be moved: He shall judge the people righteously. 11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof. 12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice 13 Before the LORD: for He cometh, for He cometh to judge the earth: He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His Truth" (KJV 1611).
