Book Reflections: The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 2 is the sequel to The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 1. Richard McMurphy's love story with his best friend Emily McMermaid continues on in The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 2. Max Bailey, who is the narrator of all of books in The Rising of The Moon Trilogy Epic Novel Series, finally gets to actually meet Emily McMermaid. Emily is hiding out from President Barack Smyth and the Federal Government bureaucrats in a big blue vinyl swimming pool in the old coach shop aka maintenance building in the Downtown Baldwin Train Yard in Baldwin, Ohio. Emily has to hide out from President Smyth and the bureaucrats, because she is an actual mermaid and they want to kill all of the mermaids and mermen with the Navy's sonic bombs! Richard's uncle Jim McMurphy owns the Downtown Baldwin Train Yard, which is a part of the McMurphy and Ohio Railroad.
Grab your running shoes! We're off to the races with Richard McMurphy, his twin sister Victoria, and their friends on the Baldwin Shawnee Cross-Country Team. (Running shoes aren't required to read this book or any other book though; I just wanted to grab your attention. ;) ) Before Richard McMurphy and Emily McMermaid start dating, Richard is still dating his crazy girlfriend Reggiena Fisch. Reggiena Fisch treats Richard terribly and yet she somehow manages to still love Richard. Richard's twin sister Victoria is an on-and-off best friend best friend of Reggiena Fisch and Victoria is mad at Reggiena half of the time. Victoria and Reggiena get into a lot of shouting matches and physical fights.
While running a race one day, Victoria felt very insecure about her Salvation. Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit assure Victoria of Their Love, Grace, and Mercy for her and that both she and Richard are going to Heaven, when they die someday. Yahweh reads Chapter 5 of St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans to Victoria, as she ran to victory.
St. Paul wrote in Romans Chapter 5;
"5 Therefore being justified by Faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By Whom also we have access by Faith into this Grace, wherein we stand, and rejoice in Hope of the Glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, Hope: 5 And Hope maketh not ashamed; because the Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, Which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth His Love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by His Blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the Death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His Life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom we have now received the Atonement.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed, when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of Him, That was to come. 15 But not as the offence, so also is the Free Gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the Grace of God, and the Gift by Grace, which is by one Man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the Gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the Free Gift is of many offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of Grace and of the Gift of Righteousness, shall reign in life by or as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the Law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, Grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might Grace reign through Righteousness unto Eternal Life by Jesus Christ our Lord" (KJV 1611).
Emily McMermaid and Richard McMurphy were predestined by Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to be a couple and to get married someday, when the Holy Trinity created the world in October 4004 B.C.E. (Before Christ's Epiphany). As an actual mermaid, Emily McMermaid has a tail, so she is water bound and this makes it difficult for Emily and Richard to date, until the Holy Trinity sends St. Patrick with the solution to their problems.
Some of the extra topics talked about in The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 2 are the History of Oktoberfest, the Doctrine of Holy Baptism, and some Ancient Greek Plays written by the famous Greek playwright, Sophocles. I plan on writing a blog post about the History of Oktoberfest, when we get closer to Oktoberfest Season. Oktober is awesome, because it is a season, holiday, and festival all rolled into one big happy and spirited celebration. This blog post is only a brief look at The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 2. There is so much more to this awesome Christian romance novel, but I can't tell you everything. ;) I can only tell you enough to spark your interest.
