Book Reflections: The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 1 is an awesome Christian romance novel with so much to offer! So many books today are outside of the comfort zone of many Christians, because they are pornographic or they have a lot of profanity in them. The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 1 is family friendly. There is no pornography and no profanity in this novel. Sex in this book is kept in the context of marriage and the readers are encouraged to remain virgins until marriage by the examples set by the different characters dating each other in this novel. There are no sex scenes in this book. The only sex in the book is subtly hinted at in the chapter about Emily McMermaid's dream about being her best friend Richard McMurphy's wife.
Now that I got the sex out of the way, I can get into more comfortable topics talked about in The Rising of The Moon Book 1: Changing Tides Part 1. I love history, especially Church History. One of my favorite time periods in Church History is Middle Ages. I also love romance. Plus I care about mermaids and mermen and, yes, they actually do exist. The Virgin Mary set for us a good example of praising God the Father Yahweh and she praised Him for blessing her with the great gift and privilege of carrying and bearing God the Son Jesus Christ, after she was moved by God the Holy Spirit.
Through the main character, Richard McMurphy, I talk about the history of the First, Second, and Third Crusades, the Knights Templar, and St. Gregory of the Christmas Tree. The First, Second, and Third Crusades were vitally important for the the survival of Christianity, because during the Middle Ages Islam became even more aggressive against Christians living in the Middle East and also in Europe. Emily McMermaid's dream is about being Richard McMurphy's wife and going off on the Third Crusade with King Richard the Lionheart. The Knights Templar were a bunch of trouble makers for Christians, Jews, and Muslims living during the Middle Ages. St. Gregory pointed people to Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit by using the Christmas Tree as a symbol of the Holy Trinity.
Romance novels are awesome, but they vary from author-to-author. Some romance novels are pornographic and some romance novels are really clean like all of my novels. I'm a "hopeless romantic," so that's probably one of the reasons, why I write romance novels. Richard McMurphy and Emily McMermaid are both virgins, because they believe, that keeping their virginity until marriage glorifies Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
I love mermaids. It would be awesome to be in Richard McMurphy's shoes and date a real mermaid, as he does in The Rising of The Moon Trilogy Epic Novel Series. Mermaids and mermen aka merfolk actually exist, but sadly the federal government in America is covering up the existence of mermaids and mermen. Our federal government is evil and corrupt and it is not alone, because the national British government also wants to cover up the existence of mermaids and mermen. I talk even more about the federal government's cover up of the existence of mermaids and mermen in A Survey of Classical Mythology and I plan on writing a blog post about that book as well. Emily McMermaid, who is the main female character in The Rising of The Moon Trilogy Epic Novel Series, is an actual mermaid. Emily McMermaid is one of Richard McMurphy's best friends and she becomes Richard's girlfriend.
St. Luke recorded The Magnificat aka Mary's Hymn of Praise in Luke 1:46-55,
"46 And Mary said, 'My soul doth magnify the LORD, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48 For He hath regarded the low estate of His handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For He, That is mighty, hath done to me great things; and Holy is His Name. 50 And His Mercy is on them, that fear Him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed strength with His Arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He hath sent empty away. 54 He hath helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His Mercy; 55 As He spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever'" (KJV 1611).
