Lenten Greetings and Happy Martin Luther Day!
My First History Book Reflections: Martin Luther, William Tyndale, and James Ussher are the three main non-divine figures in my my first history book Martin Luther, William Tyndale, James Ussher, and their Work in Classics: With Other Christian Essays and Yahweh, Jesus, and the three main Divine Figures in my first history book. Martin Luther is probably the most famous of the three churchmen discussed in this book, but William Tyndale and James Ussher are sadly probably not as well known. In this book, I discuss the lives, work, and ministries of Luther, Tyndale, and Ussher. Luther, Tyndale, and Ussher were wrestling with many of the same issues, which we wrestle with today.
What issues were they dealing with during the Reformation Era, which we are stilling dealing with today? For this blog post, I will only address one major issue. Abortion was a major problem in Christian Europe during the Reformation, so Martin Luther was the first pro-life clergymen and he was the first advocate for infants and their mothers. Babies deserve Holy Baptism and not abortion. The Holy Spirit laid it both on my heart and my former pastor's, Reverend Mike Hughes,' heart to say the following: "Abortion is both murder and a sin!"
Martin Luther, William Tyndale, James Ussher, and their Work in Classics: With Other Christian Essays is both a mouth full of a title and my first history book. I explore the lives, ministries, and the work in Classics of Martin Luther, William Tyndale, and James Ussher in this book. Most people have heard of the famous German monk, who stood up for the Gospel of Jesus Christ during the Reformation, but who are William Tyndale and James Ussher? Tyndale was an English priest, a Protestant Reformer, and one of Luther’s students. Ussher was the Anglican Archbishop from Ireland, who figured out the dates of Creation, Alexander the Great’s death, and Julius Caesar’s assignation.
Let us read the Holy Gospel of St. Luke Chapter 1:46-55:
"46 And Mary said, 'My soul doth magnify the LORD, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48 For He hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For He, That is mighty, hath done to me great things; and Holy is His Name. 50 And His Mercy is on them, that fear Him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed (shown) strength with His Arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He hath sent empty away. 54 He hath helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His Mercy; 55 As He spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever'" (KJV 1611).

My Green Irish Angel Statues: My Green Irish Angel Statues are really cute! They are only $1 each and they make great gifts. I have three kinds: 1. Cross-Bearing Angels, 2. Praying Angels, and 3. Angels Holding Butterflies. I like the Cross-Bearing Angels the best, because they are carrying Crosses. Each one bearing a Cross reminds us, that Jesus died on the True Cross to save every single person from death, Hell, Satan, Satan's Demons, Original Sin from Adam and Eve, and their personal sins. They're available exclusively at Jen's Furniture and Collectibles (JFC) on the corner High Street and Chestnut Street in between Circle K Gas Station and Zion Lutheran Church (NALC) in St. Marys, Ohio.
Stores Carrying My Books: My books, which I’ve written and published, are also available at the following stores: Brunner News Agency on Flanders Avenue in Lima, Ohio, Jen’s Furniture and Collectibles (JFC) on High Street in St. Marys, Ohio, The Menagerie at 1178 Indiana Avenue behind Beer Barrel in the St. Marys Business Complex in St. Marys, Ohio, Readmore Hallmark Stores out at Eastgate Plaza and on Elm Street in Lima, Ohio, Wagner's IGA Grocery Store in Minster, Ohio, and in the Shop section of my website ohioirishlutheranpress.com .
