First Blog Post and First Week of Advent: November 27, 2016

Advent Greetings from James W. O'Flannery; Founder and President of Ohio Irish Lutheran Press (OIL Press)! I would like to start my first blog post by talking about the importance of Advent. After I talk about Advent, I shall talk about some of OIL Press' current and future books.

Advent 2016 starts this week on Sunday November 27, 2016. During Advent we celebrate Jesus' coming into the world as a Baby and we look forward to celebrating the Virgin Birth of Jesus on Christmas Day. We are sinners and deserve to burn in Hell, but God the Father Yahweh sent His Son Jesus Christ, Who is equally God along with Yahweh and the Holy Spirit, to die on the True Cross, to save us from our sins, death, and Hell. Jesus' death on the True Cross saves us and is connected to us in Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. We are saved during Holy Baptism, but we still need to confess our sins to Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, Who are the Holy Trinity. We must have Faith, that the Holy Trinity love us and Jesus died for us.

Getting back to the Virgin Birth of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary was a young girl, when the Angel Gabriel came to her house and told her, that she would be the Mother of God the Son Jesus Christ. Mary was nervous, but she submitted to Yahweh's Holy Will and she rejoiced in her great vocation. She became pregnant with Yahweh's Son Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit without any sex. Let's look at the Magnificat or "Mary's Song of Praise," as many Bibles title it:

Magnificat from Luke 1:46-55 King James Version 1611 (KJV)

"46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the LORD, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48 For He hath regarded the low estate of His handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and Holy is His Name. 50 And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed strength with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He hath sent empty away. 54 He hath helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy; 55 As He spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever."

We are hard at work getting our Gateway(s) set up, so you can purchase books written by me. The Adventures of Richard McMurphy should be the first book available on our website. It's a nice little paperback with 238 pages, so it's a quick read. Everyone, who has read it, has loved The Adventures of Richard McMurphy and they would recommend it to their family and friends.

We are still waiting on the printers to print The Rising of The Moon Book I Changing Tides Part I, but, as soon as they get the copies printed and sent to us, then we'll make those available as well. This book is a little bit bigger than my first novel The Adventures of Richard McMurphy and it should be even better than the first one. Please notice, that the really big theme in The Rising of The Moon Trilogy Epic Novel Series, which will be several books. Thank you and have a wonderful week celebrating the beginning of Advent. This should be an awesome Christmas, because Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are giving us a new President and Vice President. Donald Trump will be a great President and Mike Pence will be a great Vice President. The Holy Trinity will use them with Senators Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio and Representatives Jim Jordan, Thomas Massie, and Darrel Issa to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain!
