"Angels we Have Heard on High!" Angel Statues at JFC

Happy Christmas everyone!

Christmas Reflections: Yes, Christmas is coming! Our yearly festival commemorating the Virgin Birth of our Lord, God, Messiah, and Brother, Jesus Christ, will be here, before we know it. We celebrate many wonderful things at Christmastime. We celebrate family and friends and we eat good food at Christmastime, but mostly importantly we celebrate Jesus' Birthday and Yahweh sending His one and only Son to earth to atone for the sins of every single person on the True Cross on Mount Calvary. This is Objective Justification.
Angel Reflections: Advent comes before Christmas, but it is still a part of Christmastime. What is Advent? Advent is the celebration of the Coming of Jesus to earth to save every single person. Who first announced Jesus First Coming? The Angel Gabriel, who is the Messenger Angel of Yahweh, told the Virgin Mary in Luke Chapter 1:26-28, that she would bear Yahweh's only begotten Son, the Jewish Messiah, Savior of the world, and God the Son, Who is Jesus of Nazareth.

St. Luke wrote in Luke 1:26-28, "26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a Virgin espoused to a man, whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the Virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, 'Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the LORD is with thee: blessed art thou among women.' 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind, what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, 'Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His Name Jesus32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the LORD God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: 33 And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end.' 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, 'How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?' 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, 'The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the Power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that Holy Thing Which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.' 38 And Mary said, 'Behold the handmaid of the LORD; be it unto me according to thy word.' And the angel departed from her" (KJV 1611).
Angels are male spirits and they are spiritual warriors. Angles are all around us and they protect all baptized and believing Christians. Angels protect us from Satan and his demons and from evil people. In Gabriel's case, his vocation is that of being Yahweh's Messenger, who announced to the Virgin Mary, that Yahweh had chosen her to bear His Son Jesus and that the Holy Spirit would place Baby Jesus into her womb. When we get closer to Christmas, I shall include Luke 2 in a blog post, which talks about the Christmas Angels.
St. John wrote about the holy angels in Heaven singing a song of praise in Revelations Chapter 5, "1 And I saw in the Right Hand of Him, That sat on the Throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, 'Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?' And no man in Heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, 'Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.' And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the Throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb, as It had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And He came and took the book out of the Right Hand of Him, That sat upon the Throne. And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, 'Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy Blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.,' 11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the Throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, 'Worthy is the Lamb, That was slain to receive Power, and riches, and Wisdom, and strength, and honour, and Glory, and blessing.' 13 And every creature which is in Heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, 'Blessing, and honour, and Glory, and Power, be unto Him, that sitteth upon the Throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever.' 14 And the four beasts said, 'Amen.' And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped Him, That liveth for ever and ever" (KJV 1611).

St. John wrote in Revelation Chapter 12 about the Virgin Birth of Jesus, the Christian Church aka the holy catholic and apostolic Church, and St. Michael leading Yahweh's Holy Angels to victory against Satan and Satan's demons. Revelation 12 talks about both the Virgin Mary and the Christian Church aka the holy catholic and apostolic Church and John used the word "woman" to describe both the Mother of God and the Church of her Son. Revelation 12 is both dark and beautiful.

St. John wrote thus in Revelation 12, "1 And there appeared a great wonder in Heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with Child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in Heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of Heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman, which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her Child, as soon as It was born. And she brought forth a Man Child, Who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her Child was caught up unto God, and to His Throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days" (KJV 1611).

Revelations Chapter 12 continued: "And there was war in Heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found anymore in Heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, 'Now is come Salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the Power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye Heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth, that he hath but a short time." 13 And when the dragon saw, that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman, which brought forth the Man Child. 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood, which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the Commandments of God, and have the Testimony of Jesus Christ" (KJV 1611).
